Centraide hosted its Solidaires evening to mark the conclusion of the 2023 campaign, unveiling a record $68.2 million raised by Montrealers. These funds will help sustain a network of over 350 agencies and projects that lighten the burden of poverty and social exclusion for nearly 800,000 people.
The Solidaires evening was also an occasion for Centraide to recognize and highlight the crucial efforts made by companies, organisations and individuals across Montréal, by presenting the Solidaires awards, and GDI was honoured to receive a Solidaire Mobilization award for our 2023 campaign.
Our 2023 campaign was recognized for the dedication and commitment of every single employee involved with making our campaign a great success. From our 42 ambassadors from across all departments, to our Sales Ops team and regional Store teams, to every employee who donated and who showed up to our events, it’s our people’s passion and empathy that earned this distinction.
GDI has been a proud partner of Centraide of Greater Montréal since 2009. With our team’s generous donations, as well as through various events and raffles, and with the support of our regional stores, we raised $400,000 in 2023, and have raised more than $2.5 Million in total through our annual campaigns.
